Sean Devine, prolific singer/songwriter and charismatic performer from Livingston, MT has been compared to as varied a collection of American songwriters as Bob Dylan, Lyle Lovett and Kris Kristofferson over his 15 year span playing and recording his own music. His independently released CD, “Walkin’ Down the Road”, which sold out of its first pressing, made the Gavin Report’s Top 30 in the Americana Category. It earned him opening slots for Folk legends Tim and Mollie O’Brien, Rosalie Sorrels, John Gorka and Tom Russell (“Navajo Rug”) and can be heard on college, NPR and commercial FM stations in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Washington, Massachusetts, New York.
“[Sean Devine’s music] sets my antenna humming like a tuning fork” -Tim Cahill, contributing editor of Rolling Stone.
He also founded “Two Story Ranch”, a dynamic electric duo, with local guitar talent, Kevin Toll, (BlueJack) which has opened for David Grisman (Grateful Dead), James McMurtry and the Infamous String Dusters from Nashville.
Most notably, however, the duo got picked up by Rich Hall (Saturday Night Live) for his combination music and comedy act, ‘Rich Hall’s Hoedown’ which tours extensively throughout the UK, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho since Summer, 2012. Highlights include playing for crowds of thousands outdoors at Maverick Festival and Latitude Festival in England and 9 sold out shows at the SoHo Theater in London, from which Two Story Ranch earned the flattering and succinct review by the London Times, “They’re good!” Back stateside their tour continued with sold-out shows at the Ellen Theater, Bozeman, the Colonial Theater, Idaho Falls, Jackson Hole Performing Arts Center, Jackson Hole and the Roman Theater in Red Lodge, MT.
